2 Day Eilat Tiyul: Sun & Fun…Sharfman’s Style!

March 9, 2017

Eilat TripYou could feel the excitement in the air as we all got ready for our trip down to Eilat!!!

We left at at 5:00 am and started our activities with sandslides in Timna Park right outside of  Eilat. After that we were ready to jump in the water which is exactly what we did, we headed to the separate beach to enjoy sun and sand. We ended our day with some shopping at the ice-mall and then headed back to the hotel for dinner.

The next morning started with a delicious breakfast from the hotel and then we were off to the Oceanarium.  It was so interesting, we didn’t just see fish, we saw life in the coral reef, we saw turtles of all kinds, and we were lucky enough to get there in time to watch them feed the sharks. It was fascinating!

Our highlight of the trip though had to be our cruise out on the Red Sea. We got on a beautiful 3 level yacht and after a few minutes of sailing we anchored down to the middle of the sea. A giant inflatable

Massada, Dead Sea, Ein Gedi and More!

January 19, 2017

MasadaEin Gedi picturesRecently, we went on a Tiyul that encompassed Massada, the beautiful Dead Sea as well as Ein Gedi! Our Bnot Torah Tour Bus left really early in the morning for us to experience our inspiring trip. Best of all, because we got up soo early, it enabled us to participate in our own early morning climb up to the top of Massada.

As such, we were able to experience Sunrise on the top of Massada, overlooking miles upon miles of the beautiful Land of Israel, as well as Daven Shacharit there! Everyone could not stop talking about how special of a day this was going to be 🙂

Following the trek up to Massada, we were greeted to our very own guided tour of the site. Upon the conclusion of learning about the history and the relevance of the area, we headed back down for swimming and some good sun at the Dead Sea as well as Ein Gedi.

Below are just some of the pictures from this unbelievable trip! I can’t believe that we managed to do soo much in just 1 day!

AMAZING Tiyul: Camels, Archery & More!!

January 1, 2017

southern-tiyulAs soon as we pulled out of Ramat Eshkol we were all waiting with anticipation for our first stop cuz we were going CAMEL RIDING!!! We were so excited,  riding through the desert on a camel was an experience that helped us to feel what traveling was like for people who lived here thousands of years ago.

From there we headed to what is called “The Great Crater” where we had an exhilarating hike overlooking the giant crater, and then a fun trip to some colorful sand dunes where we were able to fill bottles with colored sand such as red, yellow, purple and green and create cool patterns.

The next day was even more packed as we headed back out to the desert where we learned how to shoot a bow and arrow,  practice our archery skills, and even get in some cool creative rock sculpting.

We arrived back in Yerushalayim exhausted but having loved every minute of this tiyul, see you at the next one 🙂

AMAZING: Sharfman’s 2-Day Tiyul!!

November 20, 2016

western-galil-tiyulAs the sun rose, all of us rushed out of bed and excitedly walked to the bus to begin our latest Tiyul. Rabbi Jacobs began his informative facts about all the places we would be visiting on our next two-day overnight trip. On this trip we got to visit Eliyahu’s Cave. One of the really nice things about this Tiyul was that our sporty-side was on full display. For instance, we got to go biking along the Mediterranean Coast and also enjoy ice skating in Ma’alot.

Many of us enjoyed visiting Akko (including the Underground Prisoners Museum). In the morning, we had a fulfilling breakfast and then we headed to the well-known grottos in Rosh HaNikra. The inside of the grottos were cool and the sea was a beautiful aquamarine color.

As the sun began to set, we headed towards the Caesaria Aqueducts. It was a breathtaking sight. Everyone walked on the beach, inhaling the fresh Mediterranean air. We had a girls- only Kumzits and sang until the sunlight vanished beneath the horizon!

All About Our Kever Rachel Tefillah Tiyul!

October 6, 2016

We just got back from an AMAZING  Tiyul and were accompanied by our Mechanechet, Mrs. Fuld who also teaches an unbelievable Tefillah course to us all! The reason why she joined us on this Tiyul is because it was a Tefillah Tiyul!

You see, at Bnot Torah/Sharfman’s we don’t simply learn in a classroom. Rather, we live our learning and explore our land through Tiyulim and various trips throughout the year. And so, Mrs. Fuld acted as our Tour Guide as she explained to us not just interesting nuggets about Tefillah, but also added meaning and purpose to our trip to Kever Rachel.

We boarded our chartered and air conditioned bus that took us directly to Kever Rachel. This location was meaningful to soo many of us, as we all had heard of Rachel Imeinu and some of us had even been there before.

However, to be able to daven there during the Aseres Yemei Teshuva, right before Yom Kippur, was an emotional experience for all of us. Sooo many of us were thanking Rabbi Sharfman for scheduling this Tiyul that allowed us to daven and say Tehillim right opposite this particular Kever during the days that lead up to Yom Kippur!
