We arrived at our Rakezet’s house for our Bayit Cham, to find an array of art supplies and magazines spread across the floor and table. We were told to make our own self-collages that we felt would represent who we are and who we aspire to be.
Each of us received a piece of paper to decorate, and that’s when we got to work. The house was buzzing with excitement and anticipation to see what everyone would come up with. Girls and supplies were scattered everywhere working tediously on their projects, and discussing their ideas.
We were delighted to have hot and delicious French onion soup on the frigid night to accompany us while we worked on our projects.
There was fun music playing in the background that we all sang along to while creating our masterpieces. By the end of the night, we all produced these incredibly creative collages that were covered in our likes, hobbies and inspirations. Each girl received one collage to show to the rest of the girls, and tried to guess who it belonged to.
Once she guessed, the illustrator herself got to present her own collage to the class and explain the thoughts behind her designs. We had such a blast! It was such a creative and fun way to spend our night!
