For this Rakezet Wednesday Night Activity, we all had a blast making our own Challah. Mrs. Zweig brought and showed us everything we will ever need to know about baking Challah in our own home. From how to make your challah fluffy, to the best way to knead the dough, she didn't miss a beat!

She taught us 7 different ways to shape our Challah and even demonstrated each one of these various techniques.

In fact, each girl got her own piece of dough and got to practice all the beautiful different ways to make their own unique Challah. All the girls really got to demonstrate their creativity, and we all did a great job!! Indeed, Mrs. Zweig told us that she was very impressed with what we all came up with. After the activity, we all went back to our apartments and baked the Challah so that we could enjoy the fruits of our labor. Best of all, we had our freshly baked Challah...

We had soo much fun making necklaces, bracelets, cute key chains, and charms for our cell phones. We all had a fantastic time learning the art of bead making that included interesting patterns as well as fun things to do that allowed us to really personalize our jewelry. We all worked really hard on our jewelry creations, and came out of the activity with something to be proud of and either wear or have a cute accessory for our cell phone. Plus, we enjoyed three delicious warm chococlate fudge cake with chocolate fudge sauce.., to further make this activity one awesome night! We all agreed that it was a really nice way for us to unwind and rekindle our relationships after our Succos break! Everyone enjoyed each others company and we look forward to the next Rakezet Night Activity!!

All of our various academic tracks as well came together to join our Rakezet for an evening we won't forget! I don't think anyone actually expected it to be so much fun, but when we got there, it was clear we were in for an amazing time. We all brought out our creative and artistic sides when we Tie Dyed our shirts, skirts, socks and pretty much anything else white that we wanted to! We all couldn't wait to see how they turned out. It was a really fun activity and overall an enjoyable relaxing night spending time with so many girls in the school. And what's more, our Rakezet was soo helpful throughout the evening. After all, many of us had never really actually Tie Dyed something of our own, let alone anything, ever before! Plus, just a day or two after the event we all got to show up in our Tie Dyed items and show off our new creations! All in all, it was an incredible night that we will never forget and we look forward to more opportunities that we constantly have to bond with each other as well as all of our amazing faculty here at Sharfman's!

We just returned from our very first Overnight Tiyul to the beautiful region known as The Golan Heights. First thing Monday morning, we headed up North, where joined by our Madricha Yehudis, we went straight to Kfar Kedem. There we were taken back to what felt like ancient Biblical times. We dressed up in their "garb," learned how to make flour and baked our own bread over the fire as well! We all then enjoyed riding camels or donkeys as they did back in the day. After that amazing experience, went to refresh ourselves with a swim in the warm water of the Kinerret. Plus, we were so lucky to be able to arrive at the Kevarim of Rabbi Akiva, The Ramchal and Rachel, Rabbi Akiva's wife in time for all of us to recite Tehillim as well as daven Mincha. From these holy sites, we headed towards the beautiful Hispin Guest House where we spent the night. The next morning brought us straight to the Banias, a gorgeous nature hike through running springs and sprawling waterfalls. We then headed towards relaxing rafting down the calm waters of the Jordan River. On the way home, we stopped to daven at the Kever of Choni HaMaagal. Overall this was a great tiyul, immensely enjoyed by all, and it really put the beauty and special sentiments of Eretz Yisrael into perspective for us—just in time for us to arrive back in Yerushalayim to enjoy Shabbos.
