Breakfast at Sharfman’s
November 29, 2009
I would never have thought that I’d like getting to school early before classes – so what happened?
Is it the healthy, filling Sharfman’s breakfast, that even has American cereal? Is it because it’s fun to hang out with the greatest group of girls from all over the country? Is it because I actually love school? Is it because of the inspirational words of Torah that Rabbi Sharfman relates to us each morning during his famous: Breakfast Chizuk? Maybe it’s all of the above, but it’s obvious that I’m not the only one.
Massage and Cooking Night!
November 27, 2009
I attended Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls and was involved in organizing many of the exciting student activities that took place in our school. As such, I’ve certainly seen my fair share of girls having fun! But I’ve gotta say…we recently had one of the an unforgettable night here in Sharfman’s! For this past Wednesday Night Rakezet Activity, we wanted to make it extra special. After a day of inspiring classes and a invigorating Beit Midrash session, over 35 girls came after school to reward themselves with the ultimate relaxation! Just to illustrate the scene, the girls wallked in to a dim, candlelit room with calming music playing in the background, and drinks available for everyone to sip on and enjoy. There where not one, but two stations that…

Maximizing Your Potential Workshops!
November 24, 2009
Recently, Rabbi Sharfman and one of our Mechanechet’s, Mrs. Fuld, surprised us by hosting a special Bnot Torah/Sharfman’s Luncheon kicking off our school’s Maximizing Your Potential Workshop. When we walked into the room we were all entranced by the stunning ambiance that the school created for us. We felt as if we were transported away from school and into a whimsical fairy tale, complete with candles and a gorgeous array of flowers…Anyways, We learned that we all had the option of signing up for one or more Bnot Torah/Sharfman’s Maximizing Your Potential Workshop class, that featured topics as varied as: “Scarlett J., Lebron and You!”, “Me, You and Who: Only G-d Knows!”, “Making Inspiration Last!”, “Lies, Tznius and Self Esteem”, “Loving Yourself in an Unloving World” and…
Bnot Torah/Sharfman’s Kedma Choir Practice!
November 22, 2009
Guest Post by Shira Beleck As winter rolls around, other events come with it here in Sharfman’s. And so, for many of my fellow students…IT’S KEDMA TIME! We’re all soo excited to be participating for yet another year in the choir competition in which many seminaries get together to raise funds for Hachnassat Kallah! We recently finished our Bnot Torah/Sharfman’s Kedma Tryouts, and I must say we have some beautiful voices in our school choir this year. As we continue to learn our harmonies and bond as a school and as a choir, the song that our Kedma Choir Heads have written for us this year continues to ring through our minds and our souls.

Jewish Pictionary Night!
November 19, 2009
Bayit Cham at Yehudis Smith’s house was a blast! When we arrived at her house she had prepared a homemade and delicious dinner for all of us to enjoy. After dinner, we found out that the fun was really going to begin. At this Bayit Cham we were going to be playing our very own version of: Jewish Pictionary! We had so much fun drawing anything from a Sephardic Wedding, to healthy food that resembled the restaurant Village Green, and even Chulent
Below are some pics from the Bayit Cham. Enjoy!
Classes and Mini Classes
November 17, 2009
Check out the pictures from our classes…What is everyone smiling about? Could be because of the really amazing classes. Could be because of the incredible teachers. Could be because of the togetherness we feel in class. Personally, I think it’s mostly because the teachers have a great way of making everything we learn sooo relevant to us…

- Reeses (milk chocolate with a yummy peanut butter center)
- Mocha
- White Chocolate
- Mr. Goodbar (milk chocolate with candied peanuts)
- Chocolate Poprocks
